How to ruin AV for your battlegroup

If your battlegroup isn't already ruined.

For the Alliance: Send a 5-man kill team to Stonehearth Bunker. Retake it, and give Horde hell. Fight like it's the most important point for Stonehearth GY. Block Horde from crossing midfield. Turtle up at Icewing bunker if necessary, and stop Horde's offense cold.

For the Horde: Seriously defend Galv, take and hold Snowfall GY, and turtle at Iceblood. Allow no Alliance to pass, and work their backfield with ninjas until they get 0 Honor for the match. Allow no offense, at all. Make sure to force them to turtle at Dun Baldar bridge to rub it in.

What does this do? Well, for the side that gets their offense completely cut off first, they will be forced into a massive turtle in hopes of saving what bunkers/towers they do have, and taking what they can from the other team. One or both sides will hard turtle their vital chokepoints in vindication, forcing hour long games where one or both sides get poor or no Honor.

To avoid this problem?

For the Alliance: Forget Stonehearth bunker. Let Horde have it. In a dual offense AV, Stonehearth bunker is given to Horde as a gift of good intentions. Stonehearth GY is also a given to allow Horde a door for offense, but you can give them a little hell to slow them down, although taking and keeping Stonehearth GY is bad form. Balinda is fair game. Icewing bunker and anything further north is fair game, but do not under any circumstances take Stonehearth GY from Horde. Always leave them a door, or they will turtle up and turn the game into a hour-long slog.

For the Horde: Never, never, NEVER take Snowfall graveyard. This is Alliance's Stonehearth GY, and Iceblood Tower and Galv should only be given a token defense to slow up Alliance, if any. Your entire defense plan from Galv to the Frostwolf Relief Hut should be one of slowing them, but never making a full-out stop. You want Alliance to progress so they're not forced to turtle up and cause a hour-long grind. Horde defense is there just to free up Horde offense from a massive turtle wave of Ally in Stormpike territory.

Thank you to the good battlegroups who act decently to each other in AV, and allow for dual-offense. It's a far cry better to play a 15-minute game for 300-500 Honor for the winner, and 200-300 to the loser with 5-minute queues, then it is for a 30-minute queue, for a hour-long game where the winner gets 600, and the loser gets 0.

Hopefully your battlegroups that have fallen into this greedy, turtleish AVs come to their senses, and realize that they only hurt themselves by being mean to the other side.
